Hi, I’m Kim.

I get to know so much about you on our journey together that it only seems right you get to know me.

I was a red bull guzzling CPA working 60 hour weeks year round in the tax world when suddenly I could hardly stand up without using a wall to support myself. The symptom list multiplied each month until I’d become relatively housebound and was unable to do pretty much anything “normal”.

It was hard.

Then, finally, I was diagnosed with vestibular migraines. Hooray!

The doctors were able to provide medicine to help control the symptoms, but there wasn't much else they could do. So, I had to turn my focus toward healing myself.

I found my way to hypnotherapy as an adjunct to medical care. However, not long after starting my journey into hypnosis and hypnotherapy, I realized my inner beliefs were at the root of everything.

I had buried my true self under a mountain should’s, “I am (insert terrible thing here)”, and just trying to fit in and be who I was told to be. My brain was using migraines as a way to protect me.

Sometimes, it’s easy to forget how powerful your mind is.

My “aha” moment

As I updated my internal programming, I discovered I could use my mind’s power to heal my body and get rid of my symptoms.

Instead of merely surviving each day, I began to live a full life, able to do the things I love like hiking and climbing, and normal activities like eating out or shopping — a life I thought I'd lost and might never regain.

Hypnotherapy helped me discover an enriched life, and now I’m using the tools I've found and the things I’ve learned along the way to build upon that — instead of living the one I was programmed to have.

The Journey Inward

The drive to share

I felt called to learn hypnotherapy and other energy healing techniques so I could help others experience the benefits of returning to their amazing, true selves.

It changed my life, and I truly believe it will change yours too.

I assist others in reconnecting their minds to their bodies in a way that allows for healing instead of dis-ease. Everyone has the power within them to be healthy and complete. I am simply a guide helping people reconnect to the power within.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • No, hypnosis is NOT brainwashing. Brainwashing involves entrenchment and deprivation. Hypnosis is a natural state where the mind is relaxed and open to new ideas. You as the client help the hypnotherapist design the suggestions that are delivered to your subconscious mind, so that you know what is being programmed and it also will resonate with you because it is your own words.

The hypnotherapist helps phrase your wording in therapeutic language, so that it is more effective, but it is still your words.

  • No, you will not be unconscious while experiencing hypnosis. You remain conscious and aware of your surroundings. Hypnosis is facilitating communication between your conscious and subconscious mind, allowing you to investigate and update the programming in your mind.

Things you may experience during hypnosis

    Body warmth

    Eyelid fluttering

Increased lacrimation (tears in your eyes)

    Tingling or numbness in extremities

    Muscle relaxation

Desire not to move (you can still move, but simply don't want to)

    Slow easy breathing

    Increased salivation

    Time distortion

    Dream-like imagery

Increased awareness of the 5 senses

    Increased internal focus

Micro-sleep - briefly drifting into sleep for a few seconds

  • No, hypnosis cannot make you do anything you don't want to. You will not do anything in hypnosis that is outside your moral code. You do not surrender your "will" to the hypnotherapist. You remain in control. Many people are familiar with stage hypnosis and people being "made" to quack like a duck or something else ridiculous for the sake of entertaining a crowd. Stage hypnosis is used as part of a comedy act. The comedian starts out with a large group and over time narrows it down to those willing to go along with their suggestions.

The participants are choosing to engage and follow the comedian's suggestions. The comedian is not actually making them do anything. Hypnosis when used in hypnotherapy is a way to help you program new ideas, that you choose and help design, into your subconscious mind. It is a way to help you achieve your goals with the power of your mind.

  • Hypnosis is NOT a truth serum. Hypnosis is simply a state of relaxation that allows you to be open to new ideas.

You will not divulge any secrets unless you choose to. You cannot be overpowered or controlled, in fact you can bring yourself out of hypnosis at anytime. You can lie in hypnosis if you choose.

  • This unique style is based on a collaborative, client-centered approach to hypnotherapy. Integral Hypnotherapy is a system that combines classical hypnotherapy with modern methods and protocols.

It also integrates perennial wisdom traditions, philosophical counseling, and human potential training - which include life skills coaching and applied mind sciences. It is also an evidence-based approach that has been scientifically validated by National Institutes of Health Funded Research.

The collaboration is between me (the hypnotherapist) and you to design the new ideas you want programmed into your subconscious. I typically refer to a client as a co-therapist because this is a joint venture. My goal is to educate you and provide you with tools to continue using for the rest of your life.

  • Hypnotherapy is an educational and self-improvement process that facilitates access to a person's internal resources to assist them in solving problems, increasing motivation, or altering behavior patterns to create positive change.

It is the application of universally accepted self-discovery techniques and self-improvement methods utilized during the hypnotic state, that help to free you from fear-based programming and assumed limitations.

  • Hypnosis is a natural state of mind with many beneficial characteristics.

It is a natural state because you experience the same brain waves that you have during sleep. Relaxation is the number one benefit to hypnosis. It allows you to exit flight or fight mode (sympathetic) and enter rest and digest (parasympathetic). This increases your immune, digestive and reproductive systems.

It also allows for more higher mind thinking Hypnosis also relaxes the critical factor, your inner analyst, and allows you to re-program your subconscious with the ideas you choose.

  • To truly get the changes you want it requires you the client to make space in your system to receive healing and create a new way of being. The easiest and quickest way to do this is to invest money up front.

Money is energy and that energy takes up part of your overall capacity. Therefore, when you pay the full or partial cost up front it creates space in your system for changes to begin before the first session even happens.

It’s also a commitment and indication to yourself and your subconscious mind that you are serious about making the changes you’re seeking.

This is also why we book all the sessions and get them on your calendar as soon as you sign. All these subtle things help you get the best out of this work and is a large part of why such drastic changes can be made in a 2–3-month window.

This policy evolved because of the differences I’ve observed in clients who pay up front vs after a session. Because I want the best for you, I do everything I can from the moment we meet to create a safe, effective and efficient space for you to make the permanent and lasting change that you’ve been desiring for so long.

  • Because the work we do together creates such a fundamental shift in the way you’re living life and how you experience life, we have to free up more capacity in your system. This allows the changes to take hold more deeply at a quicker rate.

As mentioned above money is energy that takes up your overall energetic capacity. The style of hypnotherapy you’ll do with me has a larger energetic and somatic component to it than the average type of hypnotherapy. Therefore, I found through experience that clients who made a higher investment received better results.

The clients who work with me have tried many other things like traditional therapy, breath work, coaching, etc. and have not found the level of integration they need or are still missing a piece of the healing puzzle. A large part of this I’ve discovered is that their system has not freed up enough space to let all the work they’ve done take root.
